What is Custom Brewing?
Custom brewing is a mechanic that allows for players to brew custom potions. There are some parts to this that can be tricky! If you would like to watch a video tutorial on how to make custom potions, you can watch this video (Accessible in game with the command /brewing). The Setup
The setup needed for custom brewing is not done mainly through a brewing stand. Instead, you will need to set up a cauldron on top of a fire. This can be any type of fire, netherrack on fire, campfire, etc.
Distilling
Distilling is done by setting down a brewing stand, and putting in blaze powder and glowstone. Glowstone dust is what is used to distill your custom brew.
Aging
Aging your brew is done by creating a custom barrel. Be aware — your barrel cannot touch any other types of wood! The design for the barrel is below, and you must put a sign on the barrel that says "barrel". This will allow you to right click and put the potion into the barrel to be aged.
